Beard care between visits

Itching and flakes under a beard are almost always a skin problem, not a hair problem. Skin under stubble gets less air and more oil, so a proper anti-dandruff product matters more than an expensive oil for the lengths. Shower gel dries it out the most: a beard wants a mild wash, and not every day.

Oil works by sealing in moisture, so it goes on slightly damp hair after water — not on bone-dry hair, not on soaking wet. Two to four drops for a short beard, rubbed between the palms, from the skin outward. Too much leaves a shine that reads as greasy rather than groomed.

A scruffy beard is almost never about length, it's about the edge on the neck. The reference that works on any chin: keep two fingers above the Adam's apple and run the line from there up toward the jaw angle. Everything below that arc isn't beard, it's neck stubble. Trim it dry and not daily — shaving the same area too often irritates follicles and invites ingrown hairs.

A comb spreads oil along the hair and trains it to lie in one direction. Without it, a grown-out beard develops a swirl on the cheek that looks like a cutting mistake. Start at the ends and work upward, otherwise you're pulling hair out.

Don't shave the neck line to skin with a razor every day — that's the shortest route to ingrown hairs and irritation. Don't scissor the length of a dry beard freehand: dry hair sits shorter and it's easy to remove too much. And don't expect growing to fix a shape: patchy areas don't fill in with time, they're balanced by the length around them.

The outline lasts 1–2 weeks, the shape 3–4. If the beard grows evenly and you hold the line yourself, monthly is enough: beard shaping is 800 RSD for 40 minutes. If the cut happens in the same visit, that is 1500 + 800 = 2300 RSD and 100 minutes instead of two trips.
